Dayton, OH is using bike and pedestrian friendly efforts in its efforts to reinvigorate its downtown. Principal Greg Brumitt was a initiative leader serving on the steering committee for the Miami Valley Regional and Local Comprehensive Bicycle Plan and co-led the effort to create a unified web presence for Dayton’s world class bike trail system, leading to the development of the website Miami Valley Trails. learn more here Greg lead the opening of Five Rivers MetroParks LEED-certified bike hub on Dayton Riverfront and was instrumental in the region’s first Bike Summit, which led to Dayton being named a Bronze Bike Friendly Community 9 months later. These initial efforts have led to the community embracing bikes and to more progress including more bike lanes, bike infrastructure and Dayton’s new bike share system, Link Dayton.
